YOUR DATA

PRIVACY POLICY

Palm Sudoku 1985 is designed to work without an account. This policy explains the limited information involved when you play, make a purchase, stream Jams, visit this website, or contact us.

EFFECTIVE AUGUST 6, 2026

1. SCOPE AND OPERATOR

This Privacy Policy applies to the Palm Sudoku 1985 mobile application, palmsudoku.app, and related support communications (collectively, the “Services”). The Services are operated by Curry & Co. (“Palm Sudoku,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

For privacy questions or requests, email hello@palmsudoku.app.

2. THE SHORT VERSION

  • You do not need an account to play.
  • Your boards, notes, timer, progress, free-play status, theme, and related preferences are stored locally on your device.
  • The app does not display third-party advertising.
  • Mixpanel, AppsFlyer, OneSignal, and Sentry help us understand app usage, measure acquisition, deliver opted-in notifications, and fix crashes. We limit the data sent and do not send puzzle contents or your advertising identifier without the required permission.
  • Apple and RevenueCat process limited purchase and entitlement information so paid access can work.
  • If you turn on Jams, your device connects to 181.fm to play the selected stream.
  • The website has no account system or contact form. The Meta advertising pixel loads only after you affirmatively accept it.
  • We do not sell personal information.

3. INFORMATION INVOLVED IN THE APP

GAMEPLAY DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE

The app stores information such as puzzle boards and solutions, your entries and notes, difficulty, elapsed time, mistakes, saved-game status, daily free-play status, theme, and music preferences in local app storage. This lets you resume games and remember settings.

We do not receive this locally stored gameplay data through an operator-controlled server. It may be included in device backups if your device and backup settings allow that. You can remove it by deleting the app and associated app data, subject to your device and backup behavior.

PURCHASE AND ENTITLEMENT DATA

On iOS, Apple processes payments. The app uses RevenueCat to display purchase options, verify whether Palm Sudoku 1985 Pro is active, restore purchases, and provide subscription-management tools. RevenueCat may process:

  • an app-specific identifier generated by the purchase software;
  • product, transaction, receipt, subscription, renewal, expiration, and entitlement status;
  • app version, device and operating-system information, locale, and limited network or diagnostic information needed to provide and protect the purchase service; and
  • purchase events and error codes needed to verify access and troubleshoot failures.

We do not receive your full payment-card number. Apple associates App Store transactions with your Apple Account under Apple's own privacy policy.

JAMS STREAMING DATA

Jams is optional. When you choose a station, the app connects directly to 181.fm's streaming service. Like other internet services, 181.fm may receive technical request information such as your IP address, device or player information, selected stream, and request time. We do not receive a listening history from 181.fm.

DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION

Sentry processes limited crash, error, release, app-version, device, and operating-system information so we can identify and fix failures. We configure Sentry without session replay and do not intentionally send an install ID, advertising ID, raw purchase record, puzzle contents, or full customer record.

APP ANALYTICS, ATTRIBUTION, AND NOTIFICATIONS

Mixpanel processes pseudonymous gameplay and product events such as onboarding steps, difficulty, game starts and completions, paywall views, permission status, and broad acquisition source. AppsFlyer processes attribution and campaign-measurement information, including privacy-preserving Apple attribution data and, when permitted, device identifiers used for attribution. OneSignal processes notification subscription status, delivery, opens, app/device information, and the limited audience attributes needed for opted-in messages.

The app uses a random installation identifier for internal analytics continuity. We do not send that identifier to Sentry or advertising platforms. RevenueCat remains the authoritative source for purchase and entitlement events and may share configured purchase events with Mixpanel and AppsFlyer so we can measure product performance without duplicating revenue events in the app.

4. INFORMATION INVOLVED ON THE WEBSITE

palmsudoku.app is hosted through Cloudflare. When you request a page, Cloudflare necessarily processes standard network and request data to deliver and secure the site. This can include your IP address, date and time, requested URL, referring page, browser and device details, and security signals.

We do not run a website account system or contact form. If you choose Accept in the privacy controls, the site loads the Meta pixel to measure page views and outbound App Store clicks. Meta may process your IP address, browser and device information, page URL, referrer, event time, pixel identifiers, and cookies or similar identifiers under their policies. If you reject, we do not load those pixels. Cloudflare may still use strictly necessary security technologies to detect abuse and keep the site available.

5. INFORMATION YOU SEND US

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to provide, such as your name, device model, app version, screenshots, purchase issue, or support question. Please do not send payment-card numbers, passwords, or other information that is not needed for support.

6. HOW INFORMATION IS USED

We and our service providers use the information described above to:

  • provide, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the Services;
  • save games and preferences on your device;
  • display purchase options, process transactions, verify Pro access, restore purchases, and prevent purchase fraud;
  • stream a station when you request it;
  • respond to support, legal, and privacy messages;
  • understand and resolve failures using limited technical information; and
  • comply with law, enforce our Terms, and protect users, the public, and our rights.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, these uses rely on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in providing and protecting the Services, compliance with legal obligations, or your consent where requested.

7. WHEN INFORMATION IS SHARED

Information may be processed by:

  • Apple, for App Store distribution, payment, receipts, refunds, device services, and subscription management;
  • RevenueCat, for purchase screens, receipt validation, entitlement status, restoration, and customer-center tools;
  • 181.fm, when you request an audio stream through Jams;
  • Cloudflare, for website hosting, delivery, security, and abuse prevention; and
  • Mixpanel, AppsFlyer, OneSignal, and Sentry, for the app analytics, attribution, notification, and diagnostic purposes described above; and
  • Meta, for website advertising measurement only after you opt in; and
  • email and infrastructure providers that help us receive and answer support messages.

We may also disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process; protect rights, safety, and security; investigate fraud or abuse; or complete a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. If a business transfer occurs, this policy will continue to apply to personal information unless you are notified otherwise.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some laws may define consented pixel disclosures to Meta as “sharing,” targeted advertising, or cross-context behavioral advertising. We require opt-in consent before the pixel loads and provide a persistent way to reject or withdraw that consent.

8. RETENTION

  • Locally stored game and preference data remains on your device until the app replaces it or you clear app data or delete the app, subject to device backups.
  • Apple, RevenueCat, Mixpanel, AppsFlyer, OneSignal, Sentry, Meta, 181.fm, Cloudflare, and email providers retain information under their own policies and legal obligations.
  • We keep support emails for as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain support history, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify them when they are no longer needed.

9. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS

You can:

  • avoid Jams or stop playback at any time to stop new stream connections;
  • manage or cancel an Apple subscription through your Apple Account settings;
  • use the in-app restore and customer-center tools;
  • remove local app data by deleting the app and, where available, associated backups; and
  • unsubscribe from or end an email conversation by telling us you no longer want a response.
  • reject optional website pixels when first asked or reopen Privacy Choices at any time to withdraw consent. We also honor an enabled Global Privacy Control signal by keeping optional pixels off.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection concerning personal information we control, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to appeal a denied privacy request or complain to a data-protection authority.

Submit a request to hello@palmsudoku.app with the subject “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity and clarify the information involved. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to proof of authority and identity verification. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Because most gameplay data stays on your device and is not tied to an operator account, we may not possess or be able to identify that data. For data controlled independently by a service provider, you may need to contact that provider directly.

10. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

We and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have different data-protection laws than your home country. Where required, providers use recognized safeguards for international transfers.

11. SECURITY

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures suited to the limited information we handle. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting access to your device, Apple Account, and email account.

12. CHILDREN

The Services do not include user accounts, public profiles, chat, or user-generated content, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information in a support email without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review and delete it as required.

13. BROWSER PRIVACY SIGNALS

Browsers may offer a “Do Not Track” signal, but there is no uniform industry standard for responding to it. The website does recognize the Global Privacy Control signal and keeps the optional Meta pixel off while that signal is active.

14. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy as the Services or law changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice where required.

15. CONTACT US

Privacy questions and requests can be sent to hello@palmsudoku.app.
